It was Monday, August 5th. When I woke up at 8:03, I immediately realized that my day was starting off on the wrong foot. In all the years I’ve been setting a morning alarm, there have only been two times where I have set it for PM instead of AM. This was one of those two times. Strike 1.
Luckily I managed to awaken before my 6:45 p.m. alarm. I hopped in the shower, rushed out the door and was immediately greeted by traffic in an area of the neighborhood that never has traffic. Strike 2.
After having an additional 10 minutes added to my drive time (from traffic in a RESIDENTIAL neighborhood), I managed to get to the Tim Horton’s drive-thru where I enjoy a piping hot french vanilla cappuccino about 3 times a week. Before turning into the drive-thru, I was cut off by a van who clearly did not have the right of way. Strike 3.
